A masterclass on Uzbek traditional music was held at The Music High School Attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts (30th January 2025) NEW!

A masterclass on Uzbek traditional music led by the artists from Republican Specialized Music School named after R.M.Glier took place on 30th January at The Music High School Attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. The masterclass included the performance of traditional pieces and students’ trial session. Surprisingly, some of the students played traditional instruments very well although it was the very first time for them to try out the ones. We appreciate the support from both schools for this event.
Artists from Uzbekistan visited Tokyo University of the Arts (29th January 2025) NEW!

The artists from Republican Specialized Music School named after R.M.Glier made an official visit to Tokyo University of the Arts. The participants of this visit included Djamaldinov Alisher, The Headmaster of R.M.Glier Music School and a leading expert of music education in Uzbekistan. They had an opportunity to take a look at not only the school facilities but the exhibition of Uzbek traditional instruments at Koizumi Fumio Memorial Archives. We would like to express our gratitude to the administrative staff of Tokyo Geidai.
Special Concert for Tokyo Global Rotary Club (28th January 2025) NEW!
A special concert of Uzbek traditional music by the musicians from Republican Specialized Music School named after R.M.Glier was held at Indian Restaurant Mumbai in Yotsuya, Tokyo. After the concert, we had a cultural exchange party, where the attendees had a chance to introduce their own culture and to have a conversation with the artists. We are deeply grateful to Tokyo Global Rotary Club, the organizer of this event, and the musicians from Uzbekistan.

The headmaster and the artists from Republican Specialized Music School named after R.M.Glier visited The Music High School Attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. They had a conversation with school administrators and made arrangements for the masterclass on Uzbek traditional music planned on 30th January.
Artists from Uzbekistan visited Toride Seitoku High School (27th January 2025) NEW!


The headmaster and professional artists from Republican Specialized Music School named after R.M.Glier visited Toride Seitoku High School. They presented a masterclass on Uzbek traditional music for students. Besides, they had an opportunity to participate in various activities, including a cultural interaction event and class observation. We would like to express our gratitude to both schools for the support to our activities.
Tokyo Tower Arts Festival VIII at Kioi Hall (26th January 2025) NEW!



On 26th January 2025, Tokyo Tower Arts Festival VIII “World Collaboration Concert V” was held at Kioi Hall, Tokyo. In the concert, traditional Uzbek music artists from Republican Specialized Music School named after R.M.Glier, members of Malaysian ukulele music society PPMUM (Persatuan Pencinta Muzik Ukulele Malaysia) and professional musicians from Japan and Korea appeared on the stage. It was a rare opportunity for both audience and performers to hear music from different countries performed under the outstanding acoustics of the world-renowned Kioi Hall, making it a memorable concert. In addition, collaboration works between each country were performed along with the traditional music, which embodied our ideal, multicultural coexistence through music.
Tokyo Tower Arts Festival VIII at Tokyo Tower (25th January 2025) NEW!



On 25th January 2025, Tokyo Tower Arts Festival VIII “World Collaboration Concert V” was held on the observatory main deck of Tokyo Tower. In the concert, traditional Uzbek music artists from Republican Specialized Music School named after R.M.Glier, members of Malaysian ukulele music society PPMUM (Persatuan Pencinta Muzik Ukulele Malaysia) appeared on the stage. The program included traditional music of each country and collaboration works with Japanese traditional music. It was a great opportunity for both audience and performers to become familiar with cultures of other countries.
Tokyo Tower Arts Festival VIII at Tokyo Tower (19th January 2025) NEW!





On 19th January 2025, Tokyo Tower Arts Festival VIII was held on the observatory main deck of Tokyo Tower. The festival opened with a performance of traditional Korean and Japanese music and the world premiere of a collaboration work of the two countries. In addition to the music performance, we had a cultural introduction section in the program and Embassy of Albania, Mexico, Nicaragua, Poland and Romania presented the promotional videos of their countries. In the latter half of the festival, pupils of Rosemary Music School gave a performance and two acclaimed pianists, Kaito Kobayashi and Takako Nojiri, had a special concert. The festival ended in great success and it provided a unique opportunity to learn about cultures around the world.
